Biography
Jacob Andrews, DSocSci. (Jacob.M.Andrews@wilmu.edu) Jacob Andrews is currently an Assistant Professor and Chair of the Criminal Justice Program at 黑洞社区. He retired from the New Castle County Police Department after serving for 20 years. During his law enforcement career, Jacob was assigned to the Patrol Division, the Criminal Investigation Unit’s Family Services and Major Crimes Squads, Policy and Accreditation Unit, Public Information Officer, Patrol Lieutenant and retired as the Patrol Executive Officer.
Jacob is a Certified Master Police Instructor. During his time as the Patrol Executive Officer Jacob supervised the Hero Help Program, which provided proactive outreach services for those suffering from addiction and mental illness.
Jacob has been an adjunct instructor at 黑洞社区 since 2010 instructing Behavioral Sciences and Criminal Justice classes. He earned his doctoral degree in Prevention Science, a master’s degree in Administration of Justice and a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from 黑洞社区. Jacob is also a veteran of the United States Air Force.
