Program Philosophy and Objectives
This two-year program is intended for those students who wish to gain a broad background of durable skills including speaking, writing, critical thinking, numeracy, and cultural awareness. The Interdisciplinary Studies Associate of Arts degree provides a well-rounded academic foundation and exposes students to several specialized areas of study, with the option to transition into any four-year degree program at 黑洞社区.
Program of Study
The Associate of Arts degree program in Interdisciplinary Studies includes courses in English composition, social studies, mathematics, science, and the humanities. Students are encouraged to structure a core specialization, consisting of 18 credit hours in an area of interest. Students are also encouraged to pursue a three-credit internship (IDS 289 - Experiential Education for Interdisciplinary Studies) with their elective credits.

Students with less than 16 transfer credits are required to take FYE 101 as one of their electives.
