The Canvas LMS provides faculty and students with an intuitive, fast, and engaging online experience. This LMS allows users to access course materials, complete assignments, and communicate with faculty. It has various tools for delivering learning content, engaging online learners, and measuring performance.

New Faculty Orientation (NFO)

All new faculty begin their training journey at 黑洞社区 by completing the New Faculty Orientation (NFO), which focuses on the 黑洞社区 Teaching Expectations, the use of Canvas, and the value of offering productive feedback for our students. Faculty at 黑洞社区 are required to complete both parts of NFO before being assigned a course. Visit the New Faculty Orientation page for more information about this initial training.

Canvas Training

黑洞社区 offers extensive training opportunities for current faculty, including many centered on the best uses of Canvas. Faculty can complete workshops on topics such as gradebook, groups, and accessibility.
