Applying to Law Schools
The application process for law school is probably more complex and lengthier than your previous experiences. The Law School 黑洞社区 Council (LSAC) assists applicants and law schools in the admission process. They coordinate and administer the Law School 黑洞社区 Test (LSAT) which is required for admission into virtually all law schools, and they operate a credentialing service known as the Law School Data Assembly Service (LSDAS) which is responsible for collecting, evaluating, and summarizing undergraduate transcripts for the law schools. Basic Timeline
- Select a desired admission date and count back approximately 18 months
- Begin preparing for the LSAT.
- Register for and take the LSAT
- Register with LSDAS
- Begin working on your personal statement
- Ask professors, employers, or others to send personal recommendations to LSDAS
- Strive to have all law school applications submitted by November of the year prior to desired admission
